U-Haul is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container use to people displaced by wildfires in northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
The assistance is aimed at residents evacuating areas affected by fires burning in and around the Superior National Forest, including several inside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. U-Haul is also providing discounted trailer rates for those leaving wildfire-affected areas.
"Access to self-storage units and portable storage containers is vital to communities when disasters strike", said a U-Haul representative. "U-Haul is ready to help anyone impacted by the wildfires who needs a secure storage solution at no cost for one month."
According to the company, the 30-day free offer applies to new self-storage and U-Box rentals and is based on availability.
